Coronavirus and Safety Precautions from Gene & Georgetti

Dear Guests of Gene & Georgetti restaurants and The Estate,

We are reaching out to you at a time of international uncertainty, at home here in Chicago and we are saddened by the effect of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) on our friends and neighbors everywhere, especially in Italy. As many of you know, we are so proud of our Italian heritage and our hearts and thoughts are especially with our loved ones in Italy at this time.

We would like to take a moment to reassure you that our objective every day is to provide the safest of restaurants for you to enjoy. We work hard every day to be the place that people come to celebrate milestone moments with great food and excellent service. In service of this objective our individual restaurant and venue team members are trained in all local food handling policies, and we all have current food service certification. While we have always taken this very seriously, given the current circumstances, we are increasing our vigilance in cleaning protocols and safety precautions across the board. We are increasing the depth and frequency of these cleanings to continue to provide a safe environment for our employees and guests alike.

We are speaking daily with our team members to ensure that no one comes to work ill, and we have spoken with any team member who has traveled internationally to quarantine themselves from work upon returning.

Our team is our family, and Chicago & Rosemont are our homes. The collective safety of all three is always of the utmost importance to us. We are continuing to monitor this situation through local and national health organizations and our thoughts remain with all who are currently affected by this terrible virus.
