Our Rosemont location has been undergoing a quiet evolution, and now proudly launches a refreshed culinary concept and brand design.
With a rich history as Chicago’s steakhouse since1941, our original River North location is known for large portions, classic service, excellent steaks and a feeling of comforting nostalgia as you walk through the door.
Under the direction of third generation operator Michelle Durpetti, it was important to our family that- in addition to these brand hallmarks- our Rosemont location places a stronger emphasis on our family’s rich Italian heritage.
“This new menu took over a year to create. It involved research trips to Italy, wine tastings, and a lot of discussion,” says Durpetti. “Our objective was to develop a concept in Rosemont that celebrates the timelessness of the Gene & Georgetti brand, while also allowing our Rosemont location to stand outside of the shadow of its predecessor and instead have a beautiful, strong identity of its own.”
The new menu is also a collaboration of both chefs: Luis Brizuela, executive chef in Chicago, and Cristiano Bassani, the new executive chef in Rosemont. Brizuela has been with Gene & Georgetti for over 20 years and is a passionate, perpetual student of all things steak, while Bassani is classically trained in the Italian kitchen. Their combination of knowledge manifests in a symphony of delicious food.

A new selection of appetizers includes a seafood salad and traditional antipasto platter. New pastas have been added to compliment “G & G classics” that will always be featured for those guests looking for signature dishes like Chicken Joe.
The steaks and chops options now highlight the incredible selection of wet age steaks with seasonal specials to include dry age options. The wine list offers a range by the glass and bottle, including Old World Reds from Italy, and New World Reds from the U.S.
The new lunch menu now includes fresh pressed panini, and a Burger Bar featuring a variety of options Including turkey, salmon, and a signature “steakhouse burger.”
