Earlier this fall, Gene & Georgetti Chicago had the pleasure of hosting an exclusive dinner for the 2018 RedBar Midwest Meetup. The RedBar Crew is a group of watch collectors and enthusiasts who meet regularly to share their passion for watch collecting and horology. Originally founded in New York City, the Crew has now expanded to other cities and the 2018 RedBar Midwest Meetup included attendance from members in Chicago, Minneapolis, Kansas City, St Louis, and Milwaukee.
The weekend-long Meetup began with members from around the MidWest gathering for a Happy Hour Get Together at a local Windy City RedBar location, followed by a watch walk to several of Chicago’s premier locally owned boutiques, including Swiss Fine Timing, Geneva Seal, Marshall Pierce & Co, Razny, and Trabert & Hoeffer and others. During this “watch walk”, members had the opportunity to tour the boutiques, shop, and view some of the boutique’s most unique pieces.
The 2018 RedBar Midwest Meetup ended with an exclusive dining experience at Gene & Georgetti Chicago where RedBar members also had the chance to enjoy a tasting of Dancing Goat Distillery’s newest rye whiskey. The dinner menu included entree choices of Chicken Limone, Eggplant Parmigiana, Mostaccioli with Marinara Sauce, or a 7oz. Broiled Filet Mignon, shared family style sides, and a dessert platter to finish the evening on a sweet note.
